He stood in the center of a field, he was surrounded by dark figures brought to life by his imagination. Slowly he examined his opponents. Being careful not to move, he shifted his gaze from one to the next. They feared him, he knew it, but why would they persist? Could they be after something? Something so powerful it was worth their lives, something they fear to obtain, but fear more to fail? He knew. He knew what they were after and he knew they were willing to fight for it.
